Look Mom No Hands!

When it was sunny and pleasant last week (all you Portlanders know that it has not since been nice out) we met up with Uncle Troy and Aunt Erica to enjoy the parks in the Pearl and have a picnic dinner. Connor was especially into showing off for his aunt and uncle and was showing off his no hands sippy cup trick.

We also took Connor to the fountain where he got to play in the water and to show off his slim figure (seriously check out the thunder thighs on this kid).

Camera Shy

While my mom was at work, Grandma Gail got me all dressed up...hat and all! Of course I was more than happy to pose for the camera...

Ohhoooo...

Last, but not least, a wave to my fans and faithful blog readers. Catch ya next time!

Happy Easter!

Apparently the Easter bunny doesn't know how to hide gifts very well, because Connor found his Easter basket a day early. Fortunately he was just as excited on the real Easter morning to see them again (which was a good thing because the Easter bunny-a.k.a. Connor's Dad-hadn't heard about the earlier snafu). Here are a few pics of Connor enjoying his first Easter eggs filled with cheerios, & his new sippy cup.

Then it was back to playing with his very favorite toy of all...Daisy!

Connor went to his first church service...for only 20 minutes. Apparently he thinks long sermons are over-rated. But before we casually snuck out the back door with our cranky child, he did flash a big smile and gave a casual one handed wave to Jesus. Happy Easter!

Silent Clapping

Connor's newest trick: The Silent Clap. Yes, that's right folks...Connor now brings his hands together in the form of a "clap" but he does it so gently it makes no sound. Now this is rather unusual while Growing Up Cunningham, because so far everything has been non-gentle and non-silent. I could get used to this!

Tourists

On Monday we had a beautiful day in good ole P-town! So, we decided to take the little tike out for a "tourist" day in our own city. Our first stop was at Jakes famous crawfish, where Connor charmed the waitstaff into giving him a free stuffed crawfish!

Then on to the waterfront. Connor loved the fountains, the people, and the sunshine!
Then off for a stroll in the park...he especially loved his sunglasses, mostly to chew on.
He is obviously still quite interested in his own shoes. Although there were lots of interesting things to see in the park, he was mostly focused on grabbing his shoes, playing with his feet, and trying to get that tasty leather into his mouth. I think he is taking after his Uncle Troy, a bit of a shoe adict.
