Happy Easter!

The Easter bunny found us at Grandma & Grandpa's house & brought lots of great toys and whatnots...
The kids had a great time singing, hunting for eggs, and reading some stories at Sunday School. We attempted church, but it is still not in the cards for the Cunningham crew. How you get 3 kids to sit still (and be quiet) for over 1 hour is seriously beyond me.

Now on to the real fun...

As usual, Easter egg hunting is a very serious affair, which includes running, pushing, scheming, and even a smidge of crying (when someone else picked up "Ashlyn's Pink Egg"). However, everyone managed to end up with a basket full!
Cheers!

Easter Egg Creations!

For the first time, ALL the Cunningham's dyed Easter eggs. Then we decorated them like zoo animals (clearly this was a kit...I am not that creative, nor do I have that much free time.
Shocking, I know).
They were pretty excited about their Easter Egg Creations!

 And slightly silly...

 Giddy even...
They are so proud of them, that they are insisting that we keep them on display. I originally agreed, but I am not sure how long you can keep REAL eggs on display like this. Ya know, without them rotting all. over. the. place. But I am outnumbered, so here they sit. Still. One week later and counting...

Two Peas in a Pod

What can I say about these two?
Well, for starters I guess you could safely say they are like two peas in a pod.
Literally.
They really like to do almost everything together.

Even when there is not QUITE enough room for two. I have actually never seen another child share a tricycle like this, but apparently IT IS POSSIBLE, only if you really want to, that is.
One of the funniest things they do is speak the plural form:
"Mom, we need a snack!" or "We really want to dress up, right Ash?" ("Right!") or "We don't really like to take naps." (clearly), or "We don't like this dinner!" ("Yea, we really don't, Mom"). etc.

However, Ashlyn (who strongly favors Pink everything) informed Kaia that Kaia's new favorite color should be purple. Surprisingly, Kaia obliged & has adopted purple as her new fav. Although I did tell them that they could both like the same thing/color/whatever, they have decided to be individuals in the color department...for now. This caused a bit of a problemo during Easter egg hunting, where Ashlyn thought that all the pink eggs should be hers & all the purple be for Kaia.

Fanatic-in-training.

Casey has a little Blazer fanatic in training.
So far it is REALLY working.
Connor is totally into it.

RIP CITY, people, RIIIIIP CIIIIIIITY!!!

Tulips & Mud Puddles!

We had the most amazing day at the tulip festival this year!

Unlike last year where carrying one (or more) kids & a stroller were required, every Cunningham walked everywhere on their own. At first I was so happy not to be "confined" to a stroller. But, let me tell you something shocking...herding three walkers under the age of 6 is no easy task. Plus we met up with friends for a grand total of 8 kids, 3 parents. At least there were only straight rows (that went on for miles).

Can you catch a glimpse of this muddy child? So many friends told me that although it was muddy, rubber boots probably weren't necessary, because it was mostly dry. Apparently they don't know the Cunninghams. All three of the kids found a mud puddle within 20 minutes AND jumped right in.

Here the girls are looking longingly at this enticing mud puddle. This was after I had to put the kibosh on the mud puddle jumping...to try to save my car. The shoes, socks, and pants were already goners.
Lastly some more extreme sports for Connor!
After watching Connor do some extreme jumping the girls were so excited to try this! I know, I know... not exactly your typical two-year old activity. However, after they waited patiently in line for about 25 minutes, for Connor's turn, I just couldn't tell them no. Don't worry safety police, these pictures show exactly how high they went. Yes, I paid for them to jump about 14 inches high. With full belly exposed. I mean, why not? You only live once.

Connor wanted to go back again the next day.
Not sure if we will make it back this year, but we will definitely see you again in 2015, Tulips!
