Preschool Program

The hardest part of the program, is waiting for it to get started...
 Just killing some more time...
Ahhh...and there is our little Angel. Looking confident. Ready to sing this year??

Once everyone get's lined up, the kids sing 4 songs. The whole program takes approximately 13 minutes. However, this year our little Angel actually SINGS (a few words), and does a few hand motions!! Way to go Connor!
After all that hard work there are cookies, and lots of coloring to be done. By even the smallest of people.

Cheers!

Christmas Tree Assitant

Connor was a great Christmas Tree Assistant this year.
He helped pick out a nice looking one..
.
and did a nice job decorating for us.

 Check out the finished product.
Much more evenly distributed ornaments this year.
The girls on the others hand...well lets just say "assisting" was not really their thing. They were more into, touching, removing & general destruction. Look: I even caught them in the act!

Jingle

That's right folks. Santa sent us our very own Elf. In case Santa has never sent an Elf to your house, let me explain. He shows up once a year around Christmas time to check in with our family. When he first arrived, he won over all the children by bringing us some delicious "North Pole" food like gingerbread cookies, powered donuts, candy & hot chocolate. In fact, now the only thing Connor "really wants for breakfast is Winter food, like Jingle eats." Yes, I agree that does taste much better than whatever Mom usually makes.

He usually sits somewhere where he has a good view of the house, and he watches to see if we are naughty or nice. He especially LOVES all things Christmas.
It is his favorite time of the year, after all.

Sometimes he does nice things for us like fixes toys (Elves are good at that) and this year he hung up our stockings (because he really likes to see the house decorated for Christmas, of course).

We have noticed that Jingle can be a bit mischievous too...

...so we've been working hard trying to teach him how to behave correctly. Occasionally, Connor will just start shaking his head and laugh. I'll ask him what he's doing. "Oh, its just Jingle. I CAN'T believe he...(fill in the blank)...drank all that syrup RIGHT. FROM. THE. JAR." He really is just so crazy, that little Elf. We can hardly wait to see what he'll do next. Be careful if you plan to visit or stay the night. Rumor has it he likes to play pranks on adults too.

I bet you have been wondering...

...what we have been up to lately. Well, thanks for asking. We have been mostly busy doing the regular stuff like jumping our wiggles out (going really well, thanks), learning to share (could still use some improvement), and having some Winter fun (sort of a hit or miss).

There was the Winter trip to the zoo...
Where everyone wanted to walk, but at least 2 tiny people could not manage to walk fast enough, far enough, or in the same direction as the other two people, so sadly had to be quarantined against their own will (which is starting to get nice and strong) in a stroller.
We've been baking cookies here and there...
Enjoying some new matching pink snow suits...

Yikes! sorry for the blinding night vision reflectors:(
And wondering if our so-called identical twins are really identical.
I mean seriously, can't you just see so much difference between them? I can.

Last but not least, we have been getting ready for Christmas! Wait until you see what Santa sent us early this year. Connor can NOT believe it, so get ready to be surprised!

Monkey See, Monkey Do

The other day as the girls were having some trouble sharing, which is such a rarity (insert sarcastic font here) Connor pipes up, "Oh no! That is called Mine-itis, and BOTH of my sisters HAVE IT!" Now, I am afraid to report that they have also contracted another dreaded disorder, "Monkey-see, Monkey-do-itis."

This sort of disorder comes in the most dreaded version: 1 year old twins. Obviously trying anything that might be curious, slightly dangerous, and definitely mischievous is way WAY more fun with a side-kick. In fact, it even comes in a 4-year old version occasionally. When this occurs, I tell said 4-year old that "he knows better" to which he replies, "Nuh-uh. It's my sisters! They are teaching me bad habits!" (insert sounds of parents slowly going insane).

Oh well, at least bath time is still happy time:)

Piggy Tails

The Girls have had enough hair for pig-tails or even a single pony-tail for a few weeks now...

The only problem is that they are so obsessed with their hair clips/bands that nothing stays in their hair long enough for anyone to enjoy it. The record is probably about 30 seconds. Then straight from their hair to their mouth. I suspect this type of thing is frowned upon by the safety police. Uh-oh! There goes one piggy hair band as we speak...

Happy Halloween!!

Here's the future Beavers, celebrating Halloween in their normal everyday outfits. Even Coach Riley swung by for a bit, took off his headphones & posed with the gang.

Enjoying some Halloween party mix
As it turns out everyone enjoyed Trick-or-Treating except Ashlyn. Don't know if she got spooked, or if she just really hates getting candy.  I decided to head home early with her in tow. She was much MUCH happier spending Halloween as an only child with her Mama in the comfort of her own home. When the team got back, Connor said, "Mama! You guys missed it! We went to ONE HUNDRED houses!!" (not really, obviously).

Happy Halloween & GO BEAVS!!!

We're Baaaaack!

That's right. After 17 months we finally made it back to the Children's Museum with all the kids. Connor has been looking forward to this trip for...ummm, well I'd estimate 17 months. He couldn't wait to show his sisters all the cool stuff there, and we finally decided they were old enough to enjoy.

And there they go at lightening speed. You can not imagine how hard it is for 2 parents to keep track of 3 kids in a place like this. (Note to self: I will never again judge another parent for using a child leash. It seems quite smart actually. Where do they sell those?)

The water room was closed for renovation...how did we get so lucky?!

Daddy's got him some very serious diggers!

Connor found a super sneaky hiding place.

Loved, loved, LOVED the fish!

Harvest Party

It's time to get into your Halloween costumes & head out to this year's Preschool Harvest Party! Fun games, candy prizes, an abundance of wild kids running around in costumes...what's not to love?

We had to head home early so this OSU football player could warm up for the big game tonight!
GO BEAVS!!
