We're Baaaaack!

That's right. After 17 months we finally made it back to the Children's Museum with all the kids. Connor has been looking forward to this trip for...ummm, well I'd estimate 17 months. He couldn't wait to show his sisters all the cool stuff there, and we finally decided they were old enough to enjoy.

And there they go at lightening speed. You can not imagine how hard it is for 2 parents to keep track of 3 kids in a place like this. (Note to self: I will never again judge another parent for using a child leash. It seems quite smart actually. Where do they sell those?)

The water room was closed for renovation...how did we get so lucky?!

Daddy's got him some very serious diggers!

Connor found a super sneaky hiding place.

Loved, loved, LOVED the fish!

Harvest Party

It's time to get into your Halloween costumes & head out to this year's Preschool Harvest Party! Fun games, candy prizes, an abundance of wild kids running around in costumes...what's not to love?

We had to head home early so this OSU football player could warm up for the big game tonight!
GO BEAVS!!

Remember When: Part 2

Just another summer trip that I neglected to blog about...CAMPING! As always, Connor loved everything about camping this year with the guys. Although I did not go this year (taking the girls camping is another trip that I can easily wait for...) I enjoyed hearing Connor's account of the fishing expedition.

Me: Connor did you catch any fish?
Connor: Yea! Really big ones!! (Holding his arms out as wide as they go.)
Me: Did anyone else catch any?
Connor: Well, just Scott did, but they were teeny tiny ones (holding his fingers about 1 inch apart).
Me: Oh. So, did you guys eat the fish for dinner then? (asking Casey)
Casey: Well, no. All we caught were tiny minnows. Even Connor. We had to throw them back. He's a true fisherman, I guess!

Connor's most favorite role in life: Leader of the Pack

Remember When: Part 1

Connor often asks me, "Do you remember when we drove to the big city and sleeped in a bed that was not ours?" He is referring to our trip this past summer to Seattle that I apparently never blogged about. Well, since it is one of his favorite past times, I thought I should document it (mostly because this blog has become our family photo album. I mean, seriously. Who has time to organize actual printed up pics these days??). First we started out at the wharf and ate some clam chowder & fed the seagulls. Even Connor shared some of his own french fries!

Next, was Connor's favorite part...the aquarium. He can NOT wait to take his sisters up there to see it (they stayed home with Grandma). However, Casey & I have decided that we can easily wait for that super fun* trip.

Lastly, Connor's first Mariners vs. Dodgers Game. As you can see we were a house divided, but all smiles anyway:)

Sister Snuggles

Is there anyway that we can get CLOSER to Daisy? We just love her so much.

Preschool Field Trip Day!

The night before the big field trip to the pumpkin farm, Connor got out his class pictures (a sheet with every child's picture & name, so we can learn his classmates) and proceeded to show me who would be going to the farm in the morning. Then he guessed what kind of pumpkin each would pick out. "Adrian will pick a BIG one & so will Braden. I think Kylee will just get a little teeny tiny one. I'm going to get one that is THIS big (shows me)." Etc, etc.
(His ideas were a bit sexist I think, but I let it go. For now. )

Here's our pictures at the Farm:
Digging for potatoes

Just running around with the buds!

Hay bail maze
Uh-Oh! The kids are cheating the maze...

We took a hay ride (Connor's favorite part) out to the pumpkin patch
& picked out a favorite pumpkin.
So lucky to get to go on a beautiful Fall day!
Happy harvest time Blog-o-sphere!

Back to School

One month ago was actually "Back to School" for little C (but his mama is just now getting around to writing about it). Although always a bit shy for the first day photos, Connor was excited to hit the books (well, or the toys, puzzles, games):

Shortly after school began, we got Connor all dressed for picture day. We leave for school at 8:35am. The kids usually are all up around 5:30 or 6:00. You'd think this would provide enough time for everyone in the household to get fed, dressed, packed, and in the car for school. Well, its not. Apparently 3 hours just flies by when you are trying to get one child ready for a school picture.

One of the most fun things about school this year is  carpooling. Well, actually it is eves dropping on 4-year old car conversations. Here's a few examples:
Connor: Jake, guess what? Last night my dad was watching football and it was time for me to watch MY show. He had to turn the football off.
Jake: I only like Sesame Street.
Connor: Not me. I like a LOT of shows like Mickey Mouse, Octonauts, Doc McStuffins...(rambles off a list of every show he has ever watched).

Connor (another day): Jake! Guess what we did last night? We visited Hudson at the hospital where he lives!
Jake: Who's that?
Connor: Well, he just my new cousin.
Jake: Oh. Cool.
