B.E.A.V.E.R.S!!

This year the smallest Cunningham Beaver Believers were SOOOO excited to go to the first game of the season! Rain or shine, we love our BEAVS!
First, a little tailgating...

Some Benny Beaver kids zone sliding...
A ride on their own private people mover...
And of course, some cheering from the stands...
How do you get three kids to sit for an entire half of a football game? Bring some good ole fashion candy to pass around. Possibly loved more than Benny Beaver himself.

Today (nearly a week after the game) Kaia says out of the blue: Well, I think we should go to the Beaver game tomorrow, Mom. (Me: I like the way you're thinking!)

Giggling Girls

The Worldest Most Giggly Girls have created this race all by themselves (while I was doing laundry). Then they asked me to video tape them. And all the giggling. I just love it when the kids (or actually anyone at all) laughs so hard that they can't get up. That just happened. As it turns out, scream laughing is my favorite hobby too.

Summertime at Grandma's

We spent some fun weekends at Grandma's this summer, while Daddy remodeled the house. There were all kinds of things going on while we were there! It isn't really summertime without attending a local county fair, so of course we headed over there...The Cunningham's were in full force this year climbing on tractors, visiting the pigs, riding rides, and eating some yummy fair-food.

Then we made a trip to the beach. You can't really tell, but it was FREEZING there on this particular day. Connor, of course, didn't care about the cold and we had to practically peel him away!

The girls were a different story. They spent more time making "sand angels" in their "sweatshirts" than swimming in the cold, cold, water. That was way more fun anyway. Especially for the person who got to clean up the car.

Hungry?

Today, shortly after we all got up:

Me: Who is hungry for Breakfast?
Connor: MMMMEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!! Mom, I'm always hungry, so you don't need to ask me.
Me: Yea, I've noticed.
Connor: I never get full. I'm going to be hungry forever.

Says the kid who eats EVERY. DAY. like there will be no more food left tomorrow. A bottomless pit. I mean, the kids eats more than I do & he's six. S.I.X! You guys. Let that sink in. I'm going to start a new savings account & call it "Groceries for when Connor is a teenager."

Adventure to the Mountain

We gathered our extended family, and headed up to the Mountain for a little weekend adventure. First stop was the hot tub where the girls were so excited that they could "stand up" all on their own. Best news ever. I think the kids managed 5 trips to the hot tub in less than 48 hours. Surely, that's A World Record. Next stop, the Mountain, of course! We did some exploring first, then headed up to the top on the chairlift. Note to self: It gets windy up there. Like hold-on-to-your-children-so-they-don't-blow-away-windy. However, we still managed to have a snack at the top. Because snacking is a priority on vacation & we don't like to let the weather ruin a good time.
Next up some lake swimming...

And lastly, we hit the adventure park. We rode a giant slide, snow-free sleds, the ponies, rode in "canoes," enjoyed the bounce house, swings, bungee trampoline, and go-carts.

PHEW! After all that adventuring, we were EXHAUSTED, but can't wait to go back again!!

Remember that one time....

...we went camping with three kids who had Hand Foot & Mouth Disease? I was a little worried that this might turn out to be a bad life decision. However, our cousins decided to bravely still welcome us along, and clearly the kids weren't that miserable..

Plus, technically we were "glamping" in this super luxurious cabin. Complete with a bunk bed, a porch, and a roof. If this isn't glamping, I don't know what is.

Just a little selfie while the big kids & Dads headed out for a hike to the falls.

Preparing for the ultimate water balloon fight...

The kids favorites were eating marshmallows in ice cream cones, the big water fight with cousins, swimming in the lake, and sleeping in a bunk. I mean, you can't really beat that, right?!!

More Summer Fun!

I know that all of you out there in the blogosphere have been just DYING to find out what we have been up to this summer. Well, let me tell you that it has not involved a lot of blogging, because we have been too busy enjoying real life. We have been "glamping" in a small (dry) cabin, and then later really "glamping" at the Mountain. More on that later. For now, here's some of our everyday activities. First, our "we can't wait to go camping bonfire" in our own back yard a few weeks before the big camping trips. Huge. Hit. With. The. Kids.

Lots of park trips, walks around our neighborhood, and a little picnic table climbing.
Totally Normal Stuff.
What summer would be complete without some indoor summer pretend play time?
And lastly, we are starting a small-ish home remodel project. I'll have to post a before and after pic of this one. If you never see Casey all summer, you now know why. He's remodeling. A small-ish project. That involves opening up our house to the weather. And a large blue tarp on the roof. To be continued...
