After work

This is what my mom, Day-dee, & I like to do after my mom gets home from work...
My mom thinks it would be awesome if only I'd sit STILL enough to read through one entire book! Gosh Mom, I'd just rather run around the room while you shout words at me. That is WAY more fun, in my opinion.

The problem with the "Blate"

Connor has been eating out of his new toddler "blate" (Which of course is a cross between a bowl & a plate, kinda like a spork). The only problem, is that Connor cannot get ALL the food out of the blate. Since Connor REALLY likes to eat everything on his blate, he must take drastic measures to get it all out:

The only way for Connor and I to survive a meal with the blate and keep the same outfits on would be to wear a hazmat-type suit/bib to keep ourselves clean. Unfortunately they don't make this kind of bib that I am aware of, so we usually just repeatedly change clothes all day long...or just roll with the fashion statement of wearing our (by "our" I mean Connor's) breakfast.

Connor's First Haircut

...Well that is, only if you count trimming the FEW hairs around his ears an actual hair cut. Connor is not blessed with an abundance of hair, but about 20 hairs had started to grow too long, so we decided to give it the 'ole home-trim-job. Here's the before pic:

Now before you judge the quality of said hair cut, please remember that Connor does not EVER. SIT. STILL. It was pretty much the most dangerous thing I have ever done with scissors. One ear turned out quite well, and the other...well let's just all remember Great Grandpa Ray's saying. "What is the difference between a good hair cut and a bad one? About 2 weeks." Too bad Connor has a birthday party to attend tomorrow. Connor, I promise this will not be the only time your mama will embarrass you. Cheers!

Boys Will Be Boys

Dear Mom,

Let me just tell you a thing or two about being a boy. First, when I say I want to go outside, I mean that I WANT. TO. GO. OUTSIDE. RAIN. OR. SHINE. You see, us boys, we LOVE to get dirty and wet in the rain. Just ask my dad.

In fact, I love the rain so much, that I will gladly SIT in it...

RUN in it...

And just generally have a great time playing in it...

It really doesn't matter how wet we get, us boys. The more rain the better, I always say.

Oh, and one more thing, Mom. Just because I sat in the mud and scooped up mud onto my shorts with my hands doesn't mean that I need an IMMEDIATE bath. That's just what boys do. OBVIOUSLY.
Love, Connor

Lately...

Dear Blog Readers,
This is what I've been up to lately...
Quacking at the ducks from the bridge (literally! In this house we call it "trash talking"),

mowing the lawn with my conductor hat on,
reading with my conductor hat on,

Riding the train WITHOUT my conductor hat on, (where is that stinkin' hat when you really need it anyway?)

"eating" (a term used loosely here) with my spoon,

and last but not least, visiting my first museum, the Children's Museum! I got nice and wet in the water play room...

They had things you could climb up & slide down...

and my all time fav - tunnels!
Hummmm, what shall I do next week?
Love, Connor

Where, oh where, has my little dog gone?

Ever since we let Connor "walk" Daisy (hold her leash) at the park, he has been OBSESSED with finding her leash, having us put it on Daisy, and "walking" her all over our house. Daisy is less than thrilled.

Everything but the animals...

Last week we went to the zoo with Crystal & Sienna. We didn't take many pictures of the animals, because doing everything else was so interesting. Such as climbing on things... And squatting to see microscopic items on the sidewalk:
(Side note: Connor was VERY interested in one particular animal, the ducks. However if his dad finds out about this he will BAN Connor from the zoo.)

Baby Sophia!

Apparently cousin Sophia just got REAL interesting to you know who...In case you are one of those people who like to document ages on backs of photographs:
Casey, 29 years
Connor, 14 months
Sophia, 2 months
